2.1 Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old.
2.2 Legal Capacity
You must have legal authority to enter binding agreements. If using on behalf of an entity, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2.3 Jurisdiction
The Platform is intended for UK use and governed by UK law. Users outside the UK use it at their own risk.
3. Account Registration and Security

Plan Checker verifies only that Registered Building Inspectors are listed on the official Register of Building Inspectors at the correct class.

You must not engage in unlawful, harmful, or disruptive activity (malware, hacking, spam, defamatory content, etc.).
4.3 Professional Obligations
Professionals are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, insurance, CPD, and qualifications relevant to their services. Plan Checker does not check or enforce these requirements beyond verifying RBI registration on the public register.
4.4 User Content
You are responsible for your posted content. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use and display it for platform purposes.
4.5 Moderation
We may remove content that violates these Terms, our Content Guidelines, or the Online Safety Act 2023.
4.6 Accessibility
We aim to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA and the Equality Act 2010.
5. Fees, Payments, and Refunds
5.1 Fees
Service, subscription, or transaction fees are set out in the Fees Agreement.
5.2 Processing
Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not hold client funds.
5.3 Non-Circumvention
Users must not avoid platform fees.
5.4 Refunds
Refunds follow our Cancellation and Refund Policy and Stripe processing terms.
5.5 Taxes
Users are responsible for their own tax obligations.
5.6 Updates
Fees may change with notice.
6. Relationships Between Users
6.1 Independent Parties
Plan Checker is not a party to contracts formed between clients and professionals.
6.2 Disputes
Users must resolve disputes directly, though Plan Checker may offer non-binding assistance.
6.3 Disclaimer
Plan Checker does not guarantee quality, legality, or accuracy of services. Verification is limited to confirming RBI registration on the official register.
6.4 Due Diligence
Users must perform their own checks before engaging others.
6.5 ADR
Consumers may be entitled to refer disputes to an ADR provider under UK regulations.
7. Intellectual Property
All platform content belongs to Plan Checker or licensors.
You may not copy or modify without consent.
Feedback may be used freely by us.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data under our Privacy Policy in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
9. Termination and Suspension
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
10. Disclaimers and Liability
The Platform is provided "as is."
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or injury caused by negligence.
Our liability is limited under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2023 and the Online Safety Act 2023.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts, unless resolved informally or via ADR.
12. Consumer Rights
Consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are unaffected.
